Extra Trip to The AltaiDue to high demand for Altai trips we are likely to offer an additional ride to this particularly remote and little-visited part of Mongolia. It will be broadly similar to our Altai Expedition, and start mid-July, after Nadaam. But we would like YOU to tell us how to tailor it. Here are some examples of options which could be added around the main focus of horse riding: Hiking; Camel trekking; Rafting; Wildlife spotting; Horseback archery... The possibilities are endless, so start imagining! |

Riding in AfghanistanYes, you read that correctly! This year we are hoping to get together a small group of especially intrepid riders to pioneer a trip in the Wakhan Corridor, that odd looking finger that sticks out in the north-east of the country. This area has never had Taliban troubles so is peaceful. Access is through Tajikistan, avoiding the need to travel to Kabul. Our guide Ian Robinson rode through here in 2008, and loved it. Let us know if you are interested! |
